Preparation work for construction

1） Confirmation of Existing Site Condition and Survey Work

1. The bathymetric survey shall be carried out and confirm to the Consultant.

2. Existing Site Condition shall be confirmed and show location of structure by staking out.

Compare with tender drawings and inspection shall be carried out by the Consultant.

3. BenchMark shall be set up by using a timber pile so that its surroundings shall be cured

for not to be removed easily. If there is fixed an object that is hardly moved away,

benchmark can be set on this object. After setting up benchmarks, Inspection shall be

carried out by the Consultant.

4. After staking out, batter boards shall be set to the corners of the structure or important

positions, and offset lines shall be set out where it will not affect to the work.

5. Batter boards shall be clearly shown location of structure and base level and inspection

shall be carried out by the Consultant.

6. Tape measure that is used for an inspection shall be 1st grade of JIS B 7512 (Steel tape

measure).

7. Materials used for scaffolding board and temporary fencing shall be chosen closest

material that can follows Japanese standard regarding to labor safety and sanitary law or

other law concerned and also be able to obtain easily at local market.
